A Danish kitchen in pretty pastels

When it comes to Scandinavian style decorating people tend to go for the all white look, monochrome, dark moody hues, pastels or bold brights. Do you have a penchant for one of these? In my home I tend to veer towards black, white and pastels although I do sometimes wish I liked bold brights! This Danish kitchen in the home of Julie and her daughter spotted on Boligciousblog has ramped up the feminine style with an entirely pastel kitchen. Could you go for a look like this?

The kitchen is from Tvis and available in a tonne of different colours. The owner is clearly a fan of Muuto too (who isn't?!) as I spot the E27 pendant light, nerd chair and bar stool and the mini stacked shelves are similar. I don't recognise the pattern on the wall - is it painted or have they put up wall paper? The Ferm Living Harlequin wallpaper is fairly similar.

A fabulous home in a former garage

I hope you've had a lovely few days? I'm having a great time in London and looking forward to some down time today with my girls before heading back to Sweden on Wednesday. How about you? Doesn't this time of year fill you with the need to bring colour into the home? I'm really feeling the yellows, blues, greens and pinks! This converted garage space featured in the February edition of Elle Decoration UK (I've just bought the May edition and it's fab) found via one of my all time favourite blogs SF Girl By Bay is so wonderful it makes my spring heart sing!

There's such a personal stamp to this incredible home. I'm loving the Tom Dixon copper shade lamps customised with neon pink chords, fantastic wood burning stoves and the black rug with the large floral print. How about you?

What a cool home!

For more colour inspiration I love this brightly coloured Dutch home, this stunning vintage inspired home of a Melbourne illustrator, and a lovely Skåne home with pops of green.

Have a wonderful day!

Simple yet fun DIY Easter project!

I love this time of the year don't you? The sun's shining, the spring flowers are out, the nights are longer....and there's chocolate everywhere. What could possibly be better?! Oh and there's that delicious Easter lunch to look forward to on Sunday too. In case you're in charge of laying the table for the big event - here's some perfectly Danish Easter egg painting inspiration from Ferm Living to enjoy. Simple yet fun and the result is oh so cool.

Ferm Living

Here are my tips for egg painting:

- add eggs to water and simmer for 10 minutes before removing and placing in cold water
- lay out some newspaper to protect your surface
- use a brush and acrylic paint to decorate the egg, painting one half first and let it dry before painting the other half.
- to get a beautiful result for your easter table stick to one colour scheme for all your eggs but use different patterns.

Time to get cracking....(sorry)

I hope you have a very Happy Easter and see you Monday!
